Wolfgang Jellinghaus has been building guitars since the age of fourteen. He was born in 1951 in Dortmund, Germany, the son of a guitar maker, where he grew up with guitars at an early age. Over the years he developed a great passion and expertise for this instrument. Wolfgang Jellinghaus has been living and working in China for several years, where he builds handmade guitars of astonishing quality in a small manufactory.
The Model 113 Torres, a reverent tribute to Antonio de Torres' guitars from his prolific second construction period beginning in 1888, stands as a masterpiece of guitar craftsmanship. This instrument's light construction results in a remarkably direct response, making every note resonate with clarity and immediacy. Its warm, rounded sound character, coupled with exceptional voice separation, renders it versatile across a broad musical repertoire. The guitar's finish in shellac not only enhances its aesthetic appeal but also contributes to its rich tonal quality. Furthermore, its outstanding price-performance ratio makes this high-caliber instrument accessible to passionate guitarists of all levels, offering a chance to own a piece of history crafted to meet the highest standards of sound and playability.
