Petar Antic was born in Belgrade, Serbia, where he grew up surrounded by nature, animals, and traditional crafts. As the son of a talented artist and craftsman, he was exposed to natural materials and attention to detail at an early age. At the age of 14, he was introduced to the guitar. Fascinated by a concert by Andres Segovia, he quickly realised that the guitar was his passion. Being left-handed, he had difficulties finding a suitable guitar at the time, which led him to learn the art of guitar making. Petar found his own way, his own vision and style of guitar making, combining the heritage of the great traditional masters with his own personal taste and aesthetics.
The No. 17.12 guitar by the late Petar Antic is not only a musical instrument but a cherished embodiment of his exceptional craftsmanship and legacy. Featuring a cedar top and indian rosewood back and sides, the guitar resonates with warm and rounded tonal qualities. The guitar's construction, from the beautifully crafted ornaments to its expertly executed setup, showcases Antic’s meticulous attention to detail, ensuring ease of play and comfort. This instrument excels in both volume and response, making it incredibly versatile across various musical styles and settings. The condition of the guitar is very good. There are some shallow playing marks on the top.
