At HANIKA craftsmanship is understood as custom work and sound as art. A guitar from the famous Baiersdorf manufacture is a symbol of quality and craftsmanship tradition. Since 1953 it has been the basis for the success story of the company, combined with trend-setting innovations. Master plucked instrument maker Armin Hanika took over the company from his father in 1993 and has been building classical guitars of outstanding quality ever since.
Back and sides made from, at 195°C thermally modified pear, the soundboard from thermally modified spruce. The 50 TBF convinces with its good attack. With the composite technology for the back (reinforced with carbon) and sides (reinforced with glass fibre), the initial output volume is increased. In addition, the instrument is significantly more robust in these areas. It therefore responds well to almost any type of playing technique and recommends itself particularly to players whose playing is not yet that sophisticated.
Made from solid tone woods, this guitar comes with high-quality Teflon-mounted ‘Rubner Gold Tuning Machines’ and bushed holes. Quality features include the neck, made from thermally modified cherry that has been laminated throughout with African blackwood, the African blackwood fretboard and a bridge saddle made from hard bone material.
The open-pore finish with PUR matt varnish produces a surface that is relatively insensitive to dirt and signs of wear and helps the instrument develop a particularly open and free sound.
