Andrea Marcellan – 2023 REG No. 74

Überblick

Andrea Marcellan is an Italian luthier and belongs to the new generation of outstanding and aspiring guitars builders in Italy. He attended the instrument making school “Scuola di Artigianato Artistico del Centopievese” in Bologna, after which he opened his own workshop and dedicated himself to the construction of classical guitars. He settled in Padua, Italy, where he has been building beautiful guitars for 11 years. Due to the large number of excellent luthiers exhibiting their instruments and the outstanding quality of the guitars presented at the Roma Guitar Expo, it is certainly a globally unique event in the area of classical guitars. Every year, carefully selected guitar makers are invited to present a special edition, a one- of-a-kind guitar that sets a very high benchmark in terms of woodworking, craftsmanship and sound. Andrea Marcellan’s 2023 REG Limited Edition guitar is based on Andrea’s highest model, to which he added some elegant aesthetical features making it unique. Andrea’s guitars are built with remarkable attention to detail, showing his refined artistry as a great guitar maker.

Aesthetically, this guitar is a stunner, primarily constructed from classic Indian rosewood for the back and sides. This choice of wood not only contributes to the guitar's resplendent beauty but also enhances its sonic qualities, offering a warm, resonant tone that complements any musical genre. The guitar's top is made of high-quality spruce, contributing to the overall acoustic performance. This Model No. 74 is an acoustic marvel. Its sound is a delightful blend of deep, dark bass notes and bright, crystal-clear trebles. There's a distinctive lushness in the tone, lending a captivating character to the instrument. This enchanting tonal balance meets the demands of even the most discerning musician, offering volume and resonance that can easily fill a concert hall or an intimate room with equal finesse. Structurally, the guitar follows a symmetrical 7-fan bracing design, a pattern that has been proven for centuries. The Andrea Marcellan Roma Expo Guitar is not merely an instrument; it's an art piece. The guitar features minimalist geometric designs, meticulously carved onto the heel and back. • Klassische Gitarre
