Antonius Müller - 2021 Doubletop 64cm

Antonius Müller - 2021 Doubletop 64cm

Overview

Antonius Müller was born in 1960 in Taunus. After finishing secondary school in 1976, he began a three-year apprenticeship with Dieter Hopf under the guidance of Dragan Musulin and concluded it in 1979. After completing his military service, he returned to work for Dieter Hopf and Reinholt Seiffert, where he also met Franz Ulrich Albert. After receiving his master diploma, together with Franz Ulrich Albert he opened a workshop under the name “Albert & Müller”. Today, Antonius Müller’s double-top guitars have become highly sought after, not only among professional artists because of their sound and expressiveness and their dynamic range, and therefore the waiting time for a new guitar is 12 years.

The instrument's playability stands out remarkably, offering unparalleled ease and comfort for both the right and left hands. Its design facilitates an exceptional playing experience, where the player can effortlessly express themselves without any physical strain. The guitar's volume is not just loud but also enriched with a long sustain and orchestral sympathetic resonances, adding a lyrical dimension to its sound. This results in a tone that fills the room with warmth, characterized by a dark timbre that does not compromise on clarity. The superb separation of voices within the guitar's sound spectrum ensures an even balance between the bass and treble frequencies, making it an adaptable instrument across various musical genres and playing techniques. It is also worth noting that, with the very long waiting time, this guitar becomes some of the hardest guitar to get.

The 2021 Antonius Müller model transcends its role as a mere musical instrument, becoming a source of inspiration and satisfaction for its player. Despite being a pre-loved guitar, it is in excellent condition, with only minor playing marks that bear witness to its musical journey without affecting its sound quality or visual appeal. It is indeed a treasured addition to any guitarist’s collection, promising not only an enriching musical experience but also a connection to the instrument's unique history.

Antonius Müller – 2021 Doubletop Classical Guitar review

While this guitar is sold, these are ready for you

  • Classical Guitars

The classical guitar, with its soft nylon strings and characteristic timbre, has become a symbol of chamber music, Spanish tradition, and concert repertoire. Its modern form was shaped by Antonio de Torres in the 19th century, setting the standard for the body, fan bracing, and the 65-centimeter scale length that are still used today. Instruments in this category open up a rich palette from the refined Romantic miniatures of Tárrega to the majestic concertos of Rodrigo. Here you will find guitars that preserve historical continuity and at the same time inspire new interpretations.
