Antonio Marín Montero – Guitar Maker from Granada
Granada without Antonio Marín is like Flamenco without Paco de Lucía. Countless guitar makers have learned from him, as he has always been generous in sharing his knowledge. Today, at nearly 90 years old, he still spends every day in his workshop. His guitars are renowned worldwide, yet he has never worked with waiting lists. This does not mean, however, that his instruments are easy to acquire – obtaining one requires significant patience. His guitars belong to the highest class. Although he has built more classical guitars, his Flamenco guitars are among the finest ever created. At Siccas Guitars, we have had the privilege of featuring several of his beautiful instruments. With their round, sweet, singing tone, unique trebles, warm bass, and effortless playability, they stand out as exceptional Flamenco guitars.
The legacy of this master continues to shape Granada’s guitar-making tradition. Antonio Marín’s influence is as profound as his lifelong dedication to the craft. His guitars are cherished around the globe for their quality, distinctive sound, and artistic soul.
The patience required to obtain one of his instruments is rewarded with a guitar that transcends musical boundaries. Each note reflects the experience, passion, and perfection that make Antonio Marín a living legend.
