Overview
Since 25 years Dietmar Heubner is building traditional guitars with modern sound aesthetics. These instruments have a very warm sound and offer the guitar player plenty possibilities to express in a huge variety of timbres and dynamics. Dietmar started out as a cabinet maker, but soon after started building guitars in England. He gathered experiences and developed ideas by building violins.
This guitar, made by Dietmar in 2001, has a spruce top and back and sides of Indian rosewood. The fretboard is modestly elevated to improve the playability of higher notes. Beautiful looks the rosette, which is decorated with celtic ornaments that are also found on the 12 tie block. The guitar was refinished by Dietmar Heubner few months ago. Under the French polish you can see some little marks. The quality tuning machines are made by Sloane.
