Overview
Overview
Antonio Marín Montero was born in Granada in 1933. In 1957, he joined Master Pérez’s workshop, and two years later, in 1959, his father advised him to visit Eduardo Ferrer, for whom he worked until opening his workshop. A milestone in Antonio Marin Montero’s career was meeting with the French luthier Robert Bouchet in the 1970s. The two artists became friends and built several guitars together. The confrontation between Marin Montero’s Spanish building system and Robert Bouchet’s particular bracing construction greatly inspired Antonio Marin Montero. Throughout his career, he continued to build a model with the” Robert Bouchet” bracing. Today Antonio Marin Montero is one of the most sought-after Spanish guitar makers.
The 2023 Antonio Marin Montero guitar, No. 931 65 cm, embodies the distinguished legacy of Granada's guitar craftsmanship. With a meticulously selected spruce soundboard, this guitar beautifully complements the sumptuous allure of Madagascar rosewood on its back and sides, rendering it with an ageless and refined aesthetic. Acoustically, its crisp trebles resonate melodiously, complemented by the vigorous and pinpoint bass notes. This Spanish guitar is apt for any playing situation with its harmonious blend of appearance and sound.
