Wolfgang Jellinghaus baut seit seinem vierzehnten Lebensjahr Gitarren. Er wurde 1951 als Sohn eines Gitarrenbauers in Dortmund geboren, wo er schon früh mit Gitarren aufwuchs. Im Laufe der Jahre entwickelte er eine große Leidenschaft und Fachkenntnis für dieses Instrument. Seit einigen Jahren lebt und arbeitet Wolfgang Jellinghaus in China, wo er in einer kleinen Manufaktur handgefertigte Gitarren von erstaunlicher Qualität baut.
Das Modell 114 Torres ist eine Würdigung der Gitarre von Antonio de Torre aus seiner zweiten Bauphase, die von Tárrega persönlich gespielt wurde. Das Original wurde 1888 gebaut, und diese Hommage ist wunderschön und voller Details, die auf der Originalgitarre zu finden sind.
Aufgrund der leichten Bauweise hat diese Gitarre eine sehr direkte Ansprache. Sie hat einen warmen, runden Klangcharakter mit wunderbarer Trennung der Stimmen und eignet sich daher für ein breites Repertoire. Die Gitarre ist mit Schellack veredelt, was das Gesamtbild dieses Instruments sehr schön abrundet. Darüber hinaus ist das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis ausgezeichnet und ermöglicht es fast jedem passionierten Gitarristen, ein Instrument zu erwerben, das höchsten Ansprüchen gerecht wird.
