Wolfgang Jellinghaus - 1912 Ex-Segovia Spruce/Rosewood Antique
Overview
Overview
Wolfgang Jellinghaus has been building guitars since the age of fourteen. He was born in 1951 in Dortmund, Germany, the son of a guitar maker, where he grew up with guitars at an early age. Over the years he developed a great passion and expertise for this instrument. Wolfgang Jellinghaus has been living and working in China for several years, where he builds handmade guitars of astonishing quality in a small manufactory.
This impressive replica by Wolfgang Jellinghaus shows remarkable qualities. Inspired by the famous Manuel Ramirez guitar by Andrés Segovia from 1912, its design is faithful to the original, and its sound is also worth listening to. It develops an impressive volume of sound with a crisp and textured tonal character that supports the guitarist both in concert halls and on more intimate occasions. As is customary with Wolfgang Jellinghaus' top-of-the-line models, this guitar is fully shellac polished and built with premium solid woods.
The photos of this guitar are general product images that may differ from the actual instrument.

Classical Guitar
The classical guitar, with its soft nylon strings and characteristic timbre, has become a symbol of chamber music, Spanish tradition, and concert repertoire. Its modern form was shaped by Antonio de Torres in the 19th century, setting the standard for the body, fan bracing, and the 65-centimeter scale length that are still used today. Instruments in this category open up a rich palette from the refined Romantic miniatures of Tárrega to the majestic concertos of Rodrigo. Here you will find guitars that preserve historical continuity and at the same time inspire new interpretations.Look all products of the collection -
