In seinem neuesten Modell verbindet Thomas Ochs die Vorzüge seines Modells "Kasha" (Klarheit, Brillanz, fundamentalen Bass, Klangdauer des Tons, Ausgeglichenheit über alle Lagen uns Saiten) mit den Vorteilen der sogenannten "Double-Top" Bauweise. Double-Top-, Sandwich- oder Komposit-Bauweise bezeichnet ein Verfahren, bei dem die Gitarrendecke aus mehreren Schichten laminiert werden, um ein möglichst geringes Deckengewicht bei sehr guten akustischen Eigenschaften zu erreichen. Das bekannteste Verfahren ist das von Matthias Dammann und Gernot Wagner in den 90er Jahren des 20. Jahrhunderts entwickelte Laminat zweier sehr dünner (Ton-)Holzschichten mit einer Mittelschicht aus Aramidwabengewebe (Nomex). Instrumenten in Double-Top Bauweise wird eine größere Lautstärke bei leichter Bespielbarkeit und hervorragender Ansprache attestiert. So wird dynamisches Spielen zum Genuss, mit einem Diskant der seinesgleichen sucht.
