About the luthier

Thomas Eichert is a master luthier with over 30 years of experience in guitar making. His journey began in 1988 with an apprenticeship in Markneukirchen (Vogtland), where he developed his foundational skills, and pursued further studies in musical instrument making at the Westsächsische Hochschule Zwickau (FH), specializing in plucked instrument construction. Upon completing his studies in 1994 with a "Diplom-Musikinstrumentenbauer (FH)" degree, he successfully obtained his master craftsman’s certificate from the Chamber of Crafts in Chemnitz. Thomas gained valuable experience working at Hanika-Guitars in Baiersdorf before opening his own workshop in 1996. Nowadays he is based in Aidlingen, south of Stuttgart, iwhere he continues to create exceptional guitars that blend traditional craftsmanship with modern innovations.

About the guitar

This lattice-braced guitar by Thomas Eichert exemplifies his mastery of combining traditional techniques with modern innovations. Designed to deliver exceptional warmth and an incredibly responsive touch, it is a perfect choice for discerning guitarists. The back and sides are doubled, a construction technique that enhances projection and volume. The lattice-bracing system in the top construction ensures dynamic range, tonal clarity, and balance, making it an ideal instrument for both solo performances and ensemble settings.

The finishes are carefully selected to optimize the guitar’s aesthetic and acoustic properties. The back and sides are coated with a durable PUR varnish, providing long-lasting protection and a sleek appearance. The top is treated with a hand-polished shellac finish, adding warmth and resonance to the instrument’s sound. The neck is finished with hard wax oil, offering a smooth, comfortable feel and excellent playability. These thoughtful choices in materials and finishes result in a guitar that not only sounds incredible but also looks stunning and feels effortless to play.

  • Classical Guitar

The classical guitar, with its soft nylon strings and characteristic timbre, has become a symbol of chamber music, Spanish tradition, and concert repertoire. Its modern form was shaped by Antonio de Torres in the 19th century, setting the standard for the body, fan bracing, and the 65-centimeter scale length that are still used today. Instruments in this category open up a rich palette from the refined Romantic miniatures of Tárrega to the majestic concertos of Rodrigo. Here you will find guitars that preserve historical continuity and at the same time inspire new interpretations.
