Overview
Overview
Teodoro Pérez was born in Soria, Spain in 1952. Later he moved to Madrid to study. In 1966, he began to work at the workshop of José Ramirez III where he learnt to make banduras, lutes and mandolins. In 1969 he was sent to the workshop in General Margallo Street in Madrid where he worked for some of the greatest guitar masters of that time and met famous artists like Andrés Segovia and Narcio Yepes. In 1991 he set up his own company and has since gained worldwide recognition.
The meticulous attention to detail in its design is evident in the snake-like green mosaic patterns that adorn the rosette, bridge, and binding, making it an absolute visual delight for any guitar aficionado.
The dark cedar top of this guitar not only adds a sophisticated visual appeal but is also instrumental in shaping its sound. The Madagascar Rosewood back and sides are nothing short of a masterpiece, showcasing a rich grain pattern that stands as a testament to nature's artistry.
When played, the Maestro Especial model produces a balanced, direct, and responsive sound that is truly music to the ears. The trebles, in particular, are like the notes of a songbird, clear and melodious, effortlessly filling the room with their charm. Each strum resonates with warmth and clarity, making it a joy for both the player and the listener.
The addition of Alessi tuners ensures smooth tuning, adding another layer of sophistication to this already exceptional instrument. Ensuring its safety and longevity, the guitar comes with a robust hard-shell case, perfect for storage and travel.
