Sascha Nowak - 1997

Sascha Nowak - 1997

Overview

Sascha Nowak is a German luthier and works in Freiburg, which is not far from our shop in Karlsruhe. As a renowned local guitar maker with more than 30 years of experience in his profession, Sascha Nowak builds extremely sophisticated instruments. His high level of craftsmanship and his constant attention to the needs of guitarists have led him to a modern and innovative approach in the art of lutherie.

This guitar, built in 1997, is in a well-preserved condition. According to its age, some traces of playing are visible, but no major repairs or damage to the guitar can be found. The high-quality original Reischl machine heads ensure high precision and perfect tuning. Furthermore, the combination of spruce top and back and sides made of elegant Indian rosewood underlines the traditional character of this guitar. Some wonderful geometric variations are visible in the rosette, the design of which is admirable, just like the rest of this instrument.

The neck is beautifully crafted and has a very ergonomic, slightly "D"-shaped profile that fits very naturally in the hand. Playability, a particularly important criterion for guitarists of all levels, is therefore emphasized. The guitar conveys an extremely smooth playing feel and has a beautiful, clear, and variable timbre. The precision and clarity in the sound of this guitar are noticeable after only a few notes. The projection of the sound is also very good and leaves nothing to be desired. This Sascha Nowak guitar is offered with the original Meinl hard-shell case. This case is lined with satin on the inside and protects the guitar perfectly.

While this guitar is sold, these are ready for you

  • Classical Guitar

The classical guitar, with its soft nylon strings and characteristic timbre, has become a symbol of chamber music, Spanish tradition, and concert repertoire. Its modern form was shaped by Antonio de Torres in the 19th century, setting the standard for the body, fan bracing, and the 65-centimeter scale length that are still used today. Instruments in this category open up a rich palette from the refined Romantic miniatures of Tárrega to the majestic concertos of Rodrigo. Here you will find guitars that preserve historical continuity and at the same time inspire new interpretations.
