Roberto Pozzi - 2025 No. 200 - REG 2025 Limited Edition

Overview

About the luthier

Roberto Pozzi was born in 1970 in Mariano Comense, Italy. He developed an early interest in the construction of stringed instruments and studied at the Civica Scuola di Liuteria in Milan. During his training, he focused on the recreation of historical guitars by Antonio de Torres, Enrique Garcia, and Pietro Gallinotti, foundational figures who shaped his lutherie approach. Today, Roberto Pozzi builds instruments that remain deeply rooted in the Spanish tradition while incorporating his own signature aesthetic and acoustic refinements.

About the guitar

This guitar, crafted for the REG Limited Edition 2025 series, is a testament to Roberto Pozzi’s traditional craftsmanship and sensibility. Built with a minimalist seven-fan bracing pattern and no additional bars, it allows the spruce soundboard to breathe and vibrate freely, yielding a clear, responsive tone. The neck is carved from mahogany, contributing to its overall warmth and structural stability.

Visually, the instrument is distinguished by Pozzi’s signature rosette, which features a subtle three-dimensional effect. This motif harmonizes elegantly with the purfling and decorative elements, giving the guitar a refined yet original look. The construction makes use of high-quality tonewoods throughout, including mesmerizing Indian rosewood for the back and sides, and is completed with a French polish finish.

Tonally, the guitar offers singing trebles, a well-balanced middle range, and focused basses, resulting in an expressive, elegant voice suited for a wide range of repertoire. Its refined projection, sensitivity, and balanced character make it an outstanding choice for both stage and studio performance.

  • Classical Guitars

The classical guitar, with its soft nylon strings and characteristic timbre, has become a symbol of chamber music, Spanish tradition, and concert repertoire. Its modern form was shaped by Antonio de Torres in the 19th century, setting the standard for the body, fan bracing, and the 65-centimeter scale length that are still used today. Instruments in this category open up a rich palette from the refined Romantic miniatures of Tárrega to the majestic concertos of Rodrigo. Here you will find guitars that preserve historical continuity and at the same time inspire new interpretations.
