Raffaele Dantone - 2024

Raffaele Dantone - 2024

Overview

Raffaele Dantone, born in Bolzano in 1993, resides in the picturesque Fassa Valley in the Dolomites. Surrounded by abundant forests, he developed a passion for woodworking early on. After several years as a wood carpenter, a transformative workshop with renowned guitarmaker Mirko Borghino ignited his interest in crafting classical guitars. This pivotal experience led him to enroll in the Civica Scuola di Liuteria di Milano. Post-graduation, Raffaele honed his skills under the mentorship of master luthier Daniele Marrabello, who himself an accomplished and well-known luthier, focusing on construction techniques, sound quality, and meticulous details. Today, he operates his own workshop in the Dolomites, where he continues to create exquisite instruments.

This brand-new guitar by Raffaele is a stunning example of exceptional craftsmanship, reflecting an impressive mastery achieved early in his career. Traditionally built with a spruce soundboard and Indian rosewood back and sides, the guitar is meticulously tuned to an F resonance, producing deep, charismatic basses that enhance its rich tonal quality. The trebles are brilliant and resonant, effortlessly projecting throughout any concert hall. A highlight of this instrument is its versatile color palette, allowing musicians to explore endless nuances and dynamic ranges in their performances. This guitar truly embodies beauty and sophistication in both sound and craftsmanship.

Raffaele Dantone 2024 Classical Guitar Review

While this guitar is sold, these are ready for you

  • Classical Guitars

The classical guitar, with its soft nylon strings and characteristic timbre, has become a symbol of chamber music, Spanish tradition, and concert repertoire. Its modern form was shaped by Antonio de Torres in the 19th century, setting the standard for the body, fan bracing, and the 65-centimeter scale length that are still used today. Instruments in this category open up a rich palette from the refined Romantic miniatures of Tárrega to the majestic concertos of Rodrigo. Here you will find guitars that preserve historical continuity and at the same time inspire new interpretations.
