Rafal Turkowiak was born in Golanice near Leszno, Poland, on 9 January 1966. His father, a carpenter, and grandfather, a wheelwright, had a great influence on him in the field of carpentry and wood technology. Twenty years of guitar-making and experimenting with a very scientific and modern approach brought him to develop construction concepts improving the resonance of the guitar: the “WAVE” structure.
The Rafal Turkowiak Guitar No. 679, known as the “Opus Prime,” represents the next evolution of Turkowiak’s artistry, following the acclaimed "The Queen of Guitars" model. This unique instrument features a spruce double-top, providing exceptional volume and playability. A standout feature is the innovative “Acoustic Tube” inside the neck, enhancing the guitar’s resonance and creating a rich, enveloping sound that fills any room with warmth. The trebles are warm and sweet, while the voice separation is precise, offering a balanced and inspiring playing experience.
