Paco Santiago Marin - "50 Aniversario" 2016

Paco Santiago Marin - "50 Aniversario" 2016

Overview

Paco Santiago Marín, was born in Granada 1946. His father, Francisco Santiago Oliva, was a cabinet-maker of vocation, and taught his son Paco Santiago the delicate art of wood crafting. In 1963 Paco Santiago joined the workshop of his uncle, Antonio Marín Montero to complete his transition from a cabinet-maker to a full-fledged luthier. In 1972 he decided to start his own workshop.

Paco Santiago's guitars are highly sought after for their strong projection, balance and tone color. The list of professional guitarists who play on his instruments is as long as one can imagine, for example Ricardo Gallen, Leo Brouwer, Manuel Gonzalez & Iliana Matos, just to name a few. The Aniversario models are the most prestigious and sought after models from this immensely accomplished guitar maker. Only the best and finest materials are used for these works of art. These guitars are characterized by an abundance of tonal strength and projection. The quality of tone and the variety of design possibilities these guitars offer are almost unparalleled.

This 50th Aniversario model not only is visually appealing, it also has that Spanish tonal palette that many guitarists search for. Its rich, smooth treble strings paired with the powerful and spacious basses, fill any room with wonderful and inspiring sonority. The guitar responds quickly to changes in right hand position with a variety of timbres, and if you increase the pressure, you can also make the guitar roar with control. Built in 2016, this model is in great condition, showing no cracks or repairs with only some playing marks to be found. It is an insanely fine classical guitar, manufactured at the highest level by one of the most legendary still active luthiers and is suitable for all those players who do not want to cut any corners when it comes to their instrument.

While this guitar is sold, these are ready for you

  • Classical Guitar

The classical guitar, with its soft nylon strings and characteristic timbre, has become a symbol of chamber music, Spanish tradition, and concert repertoire. Its modern form was shaped by Antonio de Torres in the 19th century, setting the standard for the body, fan bracing, and the 65-centimeter scale length that are still used today. Instruments in this category open up a rich palette from the refined Romantic miniatures of Tárrega to the majestic concertos of Rodrigo. Here you will find guitars that preserve historical continuity and at the same time inspire new interpretations.
