Nils Schebesta - 2021 Cedar/Walnut
Overview
Overview
Nils Schebesta is a talented young guitar maker who started his apprenticeship as a luthier ten years ago. After finishing his apprenticeship, he studied guitar making in Markneukirchen and refined his skills during various internships and workshops. Before he moved into his workshop in Leipzig at the beginning of 2019, he worked for a violin maker for several years. From his workshop, he builds instruments inspired by both the German and French tradition.
Nils loves to work with unusual tonewoods that are acoustically attractive and have a fascinating aesthetic. Thus, this instrument with cedar top and beautifully flamed and highly grained walnut has fantastic characteristics. It is exceptionally responsive, remarkably sensitive, and pleasantly powerful. At the same time, this guitar is a typical Schebesta with many sound colors and very pleasant playability.
