Luigi Locatto - 2016
Luigi Locatto - 2016
Overview
Overview
Luigi Locatto has built guitars for more than 30 years. Not only is he an excellent guitar maker but also a brilliant guitar player. During his career as guitar builder, he had many opportunities to restore and examine guitars of important persons, such as Simplicio, Panormo, and Torres, which had a positive effect on his models. This guitar by Luigi Locatto was completed in December 2016. It shows elements of a Garcia guitar such as the body form, and a Simplico such as the mosaics of the rosette and the engraved headstock. The guitar impresses optically with its modest beauty, decorated with little highlights such as the elaborately decorated headstock and the precious mother of pearl tuning pegs. Premium Indian Rosewood was chosen for back and sides. The sound is powerful, round and balanced with rich basses and velvet trebles, which can be expressed especially well while playing with a gentle touch. Naturally, the guitar was refined with a French polish finish. The fondly decorated tuners are made by Alessi. A Hiscox Pro II hard case is included.
