With her master craftsman diploma in plucked instrument making, Lisa received a gold medal and the prestigious Master Craftsman Award from the Bavarian State Government. Currently, Lisa works for the London-based instrument and bow makers W.E. Hill and Sons under the direction of Stefan-Peter Greiner and Robert Brewer Young. In this creative and dynamic workshop, she builds her exceptional guitars.

About the guitar

Some guitars are truly unique, and this instrument by Lisa Weinzierl is undoubtedly one of them. The craftsmanship displayed in this guitar is nothing short of impressive. Considering the meticulous work she dedicates to each of her instruments, it becomes clear why her annual production is limited to just a few guitars. French polished to the highest standard, Lisa’s guitars feature an elaborate traditional bracing system, a raised fingerboard, a beautifully rounded neck with a German “V” joint, and premium-quality German-made Scheller tuners. Handcrafted with minimal use of machines, her guitars are true masterpieces.

This guitar is a perfect blend of poetry and performance. Its delicate tone and overall elegance inspire the player, creating an immersive and captivating musical experience. It is one of those rare, seductive instruments that make the player forget the outside world and hold their attention from the very first note. At the same time, the guitar offers excellent tonal compromise, long sustain, and an impressive sound volume, making it a fantastic choice for concert performances. The high level of playing comfort for the left hand, combined with the effortless control it provides for the right hand, offers great confidence to the player. This makes it an ideal companion for both stage performances and relaxed playing at home. As a pre-loved instrument, the guitar has minimal wear, showing only superficial blemishes that do not detract from its outstanding looks.

  • Classical Guitar

The classical guitar, with its soft nylon strings and characteristic timbre, has become a symbol of chamber music, Spanish tradition, and concert repertoire. Its modern form was shaped by Antonio de Torres in the 19th century, setting the standard for the body, fan bracing, and the 65-centimeter scale length that are still used today. Instruments in this category open up a rich palette from the refined Romantic miniatures of Tárrega to the majestic concertos of Rodrigo. Here you will find guitars that preserve historical continuity and at the same time inspire new interpretations.
