About the luthier
Kazuo Sato is an internationally renowned luthier whose career spans decades of dedication and refinement. His journey began in Japan, where he apprenticed under Kuniharu Nobe from 1965 to 1971. Seeking to expand his expertise, he moved to England and worked in the prestigious workshop of David Rubio, collaborating with another celebrated luthier, Paul Fischer. In 1974, Kazuo Sato established his own workshop in Germany, where he continues to build exceptional guitars. Today, he works alongside his son, Hideo Sato, ensuring the continuation of his craft and expertise for future generations.
