About the guitar
This rare 1976 10-string guitar is a truly remarkable instrument. It features a finely grained spruce top combined with stunning Brazilian rosewood back and sides, as is typical from Sato guitars from this era. The extended range of ten strings opens new musical possibilities, while the neck design ensures a surprisingly comfortable feel despite the wider fretboard, with well-thought-out string spacing and carefully shaped neck that allow for ease of play.
The instrument is exceptionally lightweight and highly resonant, offering an immediate, responsive feel under the fingers. Its tone is mature, clear, and powerful, with a rich and balanced voice. The basses are full and deep, complementing the bright and singing trebles, resulting in a harmonious and inspiring soundscape. This guitar is not only a technical achievement but also a joy to play, offering endless expressive possibilities. The condition of this special instrument is excellent, showing normal wear marks and a small crack on the side that poses no further danger. The guitar comes in a sturdy rectangular-shaped flight case.
