Overview
Overview
Henrik Ballowitz is a young luthier from Denmark who started his lutherie career at a young age. He built his first Spanish guitar in 2017 under the guidance of Stephen Hill and Graham Emes at the European Institution of Guitar Making. And later in 2020 he continued specializing in Spain, under Stephen Hill’s mentorship. Since then, he has decided to dedicate himself fulltime to classical guitar making.
This guitar, number 11, showcases a truly promising future for Henrik. The flawless, mirror-like finish and meticulously selected, premium woods speak to an exceptional level of craftsmanship. Its lightweight design features a spruce top with beautifully tight grain and traditional fan bracing, paired with Indian rosewood back and sides that exude a striking, light red hue. The tone it produces is not just warmly resonant but deeply rich, enveloping the listener with a sense of warmth and fullness. Despite its light build, the guitar delivers a powerful volume, all while preserving an exquisite tonal depth and complexity.
