Overview
Overview
George Lowden is a luthier based in Downpatrick, Northern Ireland. His guitars enjoy worldwide recognition and have been played by Eric Clapton, Vince Gill, Peter Finger, Ed Sheeran, and Lee Rodgers among others. His classical guitars are absolutely amazing, very rare and widely recognised among classical guitarist.
This guitar built in 1992 is in excellent condition, free of cracks and displaying only very few superficial playing marks. It shows a beautiful CITES-certified Brazilian rosewood and first-class Rodgers tuning machines. The intricate bracing pattern was inspired by the construction of his successful acoustic guitars and was adapted to let the top vibrate as freely as possible. This results in a very balanced and powerful instrument with and truly unique tone colour. One must say that this guitar was thoroughly played and sounds fully open. It has a voluminous sound with an immediate response and an outstandingly rich tone. Deep full-bodied basses combine perfectly with the well-rounded trebles and it is altogether a true masterpiece.
