Felipe Conde - Flamenca Moraíto Chico 2017 CF

Felipe Conde - Flamenca Moraíto Chico 2017 CF

Overview

Felipe Conde and his family are internationally recognised for the unpriceable instruments that were played by such guitar legends as Paco de Lucia, Al Di Meola, Leonard Cohen, Tomatito, etc. The Conde family represents an important part of the twentieth century Spanish guitar’s development and can be dated back to Manuel Ramirez’ workshop where Domingo Esteso, Felipe Conde’s grand-father, used to work. In the late twenties, Felipe Conde’s father and uncle joined Esteso’s workshop (in 1929 and 1926 respectively) and the Conde dynasty was born. Since then, the guitar making craft never left the family. Felipe Conde is now working along with his son Felipe Jr. and his daughter Maria in the workshop at 4 Arrieta St., Madrid. Always in the family’s tradition and spirit, they are building unique instruments for exigent professional flamenco players.
This guitar is the No. 12 of the 25 “Moraíto Chico reedición” guitars built as a special limited edition in homage to the great Master Moraíto Chico. This guitar is featuring the highest quality woods and gathering all the typical flamenco sound aspects and esthetical details. It has a brilliant sound with rhythmical percussive basses and singing complex trebles. The perfect playability and the unique quality of the sound are a guarantee of deep playing pleasure and spectacular public performances. A Conde hard-shell case is included. This guitar is Cites-free (CF).

  • Classical Guitar

The classical guitar, with its soft nylon strings and characteristic timbre, has become a symbol of chamber music, Spanish tradition, and concert repertoire. Its modern form was shaped by Antonio de Torres in the 19th century, setting the standard for the body, fan bracing, and the 65-centimeter scale length that are still used today. Instruments in this category open up a rich palette from the refined Romantic miniatures of Tárrega to the majestic concertos of Rodrigo. Here you will find guitars that preserve historical continuity and at the same time inspire new interpretations.
