Dieter Müller - 2021 Doubletop

Dieter Müller - 2021 Doubletop

Overview

Dieter Müller is a renowned German luthier who focuses on building double-top guitars. Since Matthias Dammann, German guitar makers have been specialists in the field of double-top guitars. Dieter Müller's instruments are particularly sought after for their sound quality and sonority, as well as their great sound volume. In addition, the craftsmanship is also executed at a very high level.

This wonderful guitar has a unique soundboard. In search of the lightest and most responsive tonewoods, Dieter Müller chose this feather-light alpine Swiss spruce. It has been thermally treated in a process called torrefaction, which transforms oils and organic compounds found in the wood without affecting the cell structure, bringing the wood to a condition comparable to the effect of decades of natural aging. This process brings to life all the tonal richness and responsiveness of the spruce, and also gives it a wonderful golden color.

Dieter Müller has combined the best cuts of this wood to create an outstanding 6-piece top. The result is a wonderful spruce double-top guitar, which is a real gem in terms of responsiveness, volume, and richness of tone. If you are looking for a distinct and powerful guitar in German double-top tradition, you will be thrilled by this guitar.

  • Classical Guitars

The classical guitar, with its soft nylon strings and characteristic timbre, has become a symbol of chamber music, Spanish tradition, and concert repertoire. Its modern form was shaped by Antonio de Torres in the 19th century, setting the standard for the body, fan bracing, and the 65-centimeter scale length that are still used today. Instruments in this category open up a rich palette from the refined Romantic miniatures of Tárrega to the majestic concertos of Rodrigo. Here you will find guitars that preserve historical continuity and at the same time inspire new interpretations.
