At HANIKA, craftsmanship is understood as custom work and sound as art. A guitar from the famous Baiersdorf manufacturer symbolizes quality and craftsmanship tradition. Since 1953 it has been the basis for the success story of the company, combined with trend-setting innovations. Master plucked instrument maker Armin Hanika took over the company from his father in 1993 and has built classical guitars of outstanding quality ever since.
The HE Torres model is part of Hanikas’s professional line, representing the peak in guitar-making, sound, and craftsmanship. This instrument is designed and composed to meet the individual needs and requirements of demanding guitar virtuosos. The finest choices of wood, combined with master craftsmanship and the use of the noblest and highest-quality materials, result in a unique piece of sound art.
The back and sides are made from expressive grained Violet Rosewood with a soundboard made from the finest spruce wood. The Cedro neck has been reinforced several times at its core with rosewood/mahogany, including the heel. The asymmetrically weighted domed spruce-wood soundboard optimizes efficiency. The HE Torres delivers excellent dynamics, a warm and substance-rich sound, crispness, and responsiveness. The materials used for this classical guitar, along with its quality and sound, meaning that it can meet the highest demands.
The pierced rosewood-maple-Macassar head and noble designer tuning machines by Nicoló Alessi underline the high demands that the HE Torres makes on quality. This classical guitar impresses visually with its body, which has been finished with a UV-cured high-gloss varnish and a soundboard that has been elaborately hand-polished with shellac.
This brand new instrument has a visual blemish caused by a string snapping during construction. It was carefully refinished in Armin Hanika's workshop, so that now only a small mark can be seen under the varnish behind the bridge. Therefore, this guitar is available with a discount of 100€.
