Antonio Marín Montero was born in Granada in 1933. In 1957, he joined master Pérez’s workshop and two years later, in 1959, his father advised him to visit Eduardo Ferrer for whom he worked until opening his own workshop. Today Antonio Marin Montero is one of the most sought after Granadian guitar makers.
This fabulous maple guitar built by Antonio Marin Montero is a true rarity. Very few of this model exist and fine concert guitarists such as Julia Trintschuk play on them. This guitar has a very thin back. The response of this instrument is incredible, and one really feels the Spanish character of A. M. Montero. The trebles are singing elegantly and overall this Marin Montero has a wide dynamic range. The basses are ample and brilliant. This guitar is overall a masterpiece
