
Till Veeh
Till Veeh was born in Böblingen. At the age of 8 he received his first guitar lessons.
From 1993 to 1996 he was taught by Mr. Helmut Rauscher at the Calw Music School. During his training at the Calw Music School, he received scholarships for guitar solo and duo, which he won at music school competitions. Since February 1997, Till Veeh has been working as a music teacher at the Calw Music School. Many of his guitar students have won numerous 1st prizes at the Baden-Württemberg Tonkünstler Competition and at the nationwide “Jugend musiziert”.
From October 1996 to July 2004, Till Veeh studied at the Stuttgart University of Music with Prof. Dr. Mario Sicca. In 2000 he received his diploma at the university with the grade “very good”, thereby also passing the entrance examination for the “Artistic Training”. In July 2004, Till Veeh also passed his concert exam with the grade 1.
His musical development was also given important impulses by masterclasses with Manuel Barrueco, Tilmann Hoppstock, Prof. Thomas Müller-Pering and Aniello Desiderio.
Till Veeh has an extensive repertoire of solo and chamber music compositions for guitar from several centuries and styles. Works by Johann Sebastian Bach, Domenico Scarlatti, Fernando Sor, Mauro Giuliani, Francisco Tarrega, Mario Castelnuovo-Tedesco, Isaac Albeniz, Roland Dyens, Leo Brouwer, Augustin Barrios Mangoré, Niccolò Paganini, Johann Kaspar Mertz and many others illustrate the versatility of the guitarist.
Till Veeh won several 1st prizes in competitions at regional, state and national level: as a soloist, in ensembles and with the Calw Music School Guitar Orchestra. In 2000 he received the 1st Federal Prize of the German Orchestra Competition with the Calw Guitar Orchestra.
In addition to numerous public performances as a soloist and with chamber music ensembles, several radio, television and CD recordings followed, including for Süddeutscher Rundfunk.
