Aurora Orsini

Aurora Orsini

Aurora Orsini, born in Italy in 1997, is one of the most promising voices in today’s classical guitar scene. Her expressive performances and refined sound have earned her recognition across Europe, with appearances in Italy, Hungary, Spain, and England. Whether as a soloist or chamber musician, Aurora captivates audiences with her artistry and deep musical understanding.

Academic Excellence and Prestigious Collaborations

In 2023, Aurora completed a postgraduate master’s degree in Classical Guitar Interpretation at the University of Alicante, supported by a Guitarras Alhambra scholarship. During this time, she studied with renowned guitarists including David Russell, Manuel Barrueco, Pablo Márquez, Xavier Diaz-Latorre, and Sergio Assad. The same year, she received a scholarship from the International Guitar Foundation (IGF) in London, further broadening her artistic horizons.

Aurora holds two master’s degrees in guitar performance from the Ottorino Respighi Conservatoire and the Luigi Boccherini Conservatoire in Italy, where she studied under Giampaolo Bandini. Remarkably, she earned her first master’s degree at only twenty years old. In 2017, she took part in the Erasmus Program at the Liszt Academy in Budapest, studying with József Eötvös. By 2021, she had completed a postgraduate specialization at the Arrigo Boito Conservatoire in Parma, refining her craft with Lorenzo Micheli, Ismo Eskelinen, Oscar Ghiglia, Stefano Grondona, and Massimo Felici.

Master Classes and International Recognition

Aurora’s pursuit of excellence led her to the prestigious Chigiana Academy, where she studied with Oscar Ghiglia and Eliot Fisk, earning the diploma for best student. She has also taken part in master classes with renowned artists such as Leo Brouwer, Francisco Bernier, Margarita Escarpa, Carlo Marchione, Thomas Müller-Pering, and Raphaëlla Smits, each contributing to her artistic development.

Musical Collaborations and Orchestral Work

Aurora’s versatility extends beyond the classical stage. In 2020, she earned second place for a guitarist position at Florence’s Teatro del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, leading to her participation in Verdi’s Otello under the direction of maestro Zubin Mehta.

In chamber music, Aurora performs with soprano Sofia Celenza as part of the Estra Duo, exploring two distinct repertoires: 20th-century works by composers such as Manuel de Falla, Benjamin Britten, and Heitor Villa-Lobos, and early music by Alonso Mudarra and John Dowland. Her ability to navigate diverse styles with elegance and authenticity marks her as one of the rising figures shaping the future of the classical guitar.

Your next step is a real classic

  • Classical Guitar

The classical guitar, with its soft nylon strings and characteristic timbre, has become a symbol of chamber music, Spanish tradition, and concert repertoire. Its modern form was shaped by Antonio de Torres in the 19th century, setting the standard for the body, fan bracing, and the 65-centimeter scale length that are still used today. Instruments in this category open up a rich palette from the refined Romantic miniatures of Tárrega to the majestic concertos of Rodrigo. Here you will find guitars that preserve historical continuity and at the same time inspire new interpretations.
