This guitar by Hermann Hauser ® I was inspired by a model which was constructed by Guadagnini. The top is made of spruce wood and is framed by a dark brown wooden purfling. It is treated with shellac. The two-piece back and the ribs are made of slightly flamed maple. The headstock is eight-shaped, has six wooden pegs and is connected with the neck by a mortise joint. The neck is polished with shellac and therefore, the wood’s beautiful grain is accentuated. The neck is glued to the body and the fingerboard is scalloped. Frets number ten to seventeen are made of bones and are embedded in the guiatr’s body.
